ENGL 253: Writing of Poetry

party
This semester I’m taking a course on poetry writing. The very first day I managed to induce some chuckles out of my class with two yarns concerning my pink wallet. Every week, more than likely, I’ll be sure to post some poems that I came up with during class. It seems that I do better when I have prompts and time limits.

My Pink Wallet – A Haiku:
            My pink wallet is
            An assistant as well as
            Personality

Pocket Personality:
            Your smell, your curves
            You’re special, you’re pink
            Go ahead and laugh
I don’t care what you think
            You caress my identity
            In your supple folds
            And with your plentiful pockets
There’s no telling what you hold
            I see myself in you
            There’s nowhere I’d rather be
Than housed inside your flamingo body
            And carrying you with me.

End of day one (this was two weeks ago). Things can only get better, right?

conduct!
I suppose it’s time I come out with it. This is what I had to show for spring semester:
